Mobile PA System Information

A mobile public address (PA) system is a self-contained sound system that helps your voice, and any other recorded sound you want, to be heard over crowds, at parties, at carnivals and auctions, and many other places.  PA systems in general come in many shapes and sizes, but not everyone has a need for a huge fixed pole-mounted system.

Mobile PA System Features

Mobile PA systems come in a range of brands, costs, and power, as well as with different features.  Some have a handle and wheels like a suitcase, while others are light enough that they can be carried around.  Some portable PA systems are wireless.  Some models are for indoor use only, while others are for indoor and outdoor use.  Others can use battery power for true mobility.  Still others let you dock an iPod and play your music directly!

Uses for Mobile PA Systems

Party DJs can make good use of mobile PA systems for calling the bride and groom up for their first dance in between spinning tunes.  Auctioneers can collect bids for hours at estate sales with a wheeled mobile PA system.  And homeowners with a nice back deck can entertain guests in style with a portable PA system equipped with a music player docking station.  Just set it to shuffle, and the PA system can pump tunes out for hours.

Manufacturers of Mobile PA Systems

A number of manufacturers have lines of mobile PA systems.  Amplivox has several wheeled models and packages that come with horn speakers, stands, and microphones.  Anchor Audio sports a number of battery powered portable PA systems, as well as packages with speakers on stands.  Nady’s models are mostly of the pick up and carry variety.  Pyle Pro has several mobile PA systems with an iPod dock.  And let’s not forget Peavey and Fender!  They’re not just for guitarists.  They’re also for people who need a portable PA system!
